MotoSport Supports Veteran MX

Portland, OR – MotoSport adds Veteran Motocross Foundation to the list of non-profit organizations the online powersports retailor regularly donates to year-round.

From the beginning, MotoSport has donated to worthy causes helping riders heal and get back on their feet, and hopefully their bike, after serious crashes. In recent years, that support included helping United States Veterans through the Boot Campaign. Now, MotoSport is pleased to ride alongside Vet MX.

“They are a Veteran run organization that focuses on using Motocross as a recovery solution and a form of therapy both mentally and physically,” said Amanda Heaberlin, Director of Brand and Creative for MotoSport. “Vet MX uses all donations for Veteran support, riding clinics, and operations. We take great pride in supporting our Veterans and it’s even cooler when they are involved in our industry.”

The member-based Veteran Motocross Foundation or Vet MX strives to empower veterans struggling with the physical and mental scars of service to leverage the benefits of Motocross. In addition to sharpening riding skills on the track, Vet MX provides a therapeutic environment that creates opportunities for mental, physical, and personal development where traditional veteran services may fall short.

“In this journey, we are honored to have MotoSport.com as a key partner,” said Cody Blankenship, Co-Founder of Veteran Motocross Foundation. “Their commitment to making every ride the best ride aligns seamlessly with our mission of leveraging the mental and physical benefits of motocross to heal the scars of military service. The Veteran Motocross Foundation looks forward to continuing this impactful collaboration with MotoSport.com, creating more opportunities for veterans and furthering the reach of motocross within our community.”

MotoSport initially responded to sponsorship support from Vet MX for their annual Vet MX Championship series. Once the relationship started, it moved into partnering with the group in a more meaningful way by adding Vet MX to MotoSport’s preferred donation recipients at checkout. MotoSport matches $1 for $1 to all monetary donations given by customers, up to $20,000 each year, for Rider Down, Road 2 Recovery, Boot Campaign and now Veterans Motocross Foundation.

“Everyone that rides knows the healing power it can bring and we’re honored to partner with Vet MX as they utilize all the positive aspects of riding to empower veterans,” said John St. Juliana, VP and General Manager of MotoSport. “At MotoSport, we believe in the power of our community so please consider donating to this amazing cause that helps our veterans heal.”
