We (I) are back back for another edition of the award winning Michelin Most Likely column. This week, we (I) look at who will have more wins: Kenny or Hunter? If Chase Sexton is out of the 450SX title chase and when will Haiden Deegan clinch the 250SX West Division?

Who is most likely to have more wins: Hunter Lawrence or Ken Roczen?

I was listening to one of the 300 podcasts out there and they brought up a strong debate: Who has more wins this year Kenny or Hunter? And, while I usually have pretty strong bold predictions, this one has stumped me. One one hand, I learn toward the experience and previous 24th 450SX victories for Kenny. On the other, I feel once Hunter gets one, he may go ham and roll off a few. Then, there are guys like Tomac, Webb, and Sexton who will also rack up some wins. So, as of today but I can change my mind, I will go with Hunter.

Is Chase Sexton most likely out of title contention?

No, no he is not. He is only 17 back with a LOT more racing left to go. Sexton is one of those riders that if he gets hot he can reel off 3-4 wins in a row. As I’ve said time and time again, changing teams takes time… unless you are Eli Tomac, which seems to be working just fine. Alas, Sexton is very much still in this, and if you don’t think so, you don’t know moto.

When is Deegan most likely to clinch the West Division?

Is Seattle too early? On a serious note, Deegan is up 27 points over Michael Mosiman through five rounds. After Seattle this weekend, the West Division will only have four rounds remaining, three of which are East/West Showdowns (Birmingham, St. Louis, and Salt Lake City). If the four rounds were only West Division rounds, I’d say Deegan would clinch three rounds early. Seeing as three are East/West Showdowns, barring injury of course, I think he clinches two rounds early in Denver. Heard it here first. I think. Maybe.
