Most Likely: Where Will the Motocross of Nations Be Held in the US in 2028 and 2031?

For years, Ironman meant one thing: GNCC Racing. The venue, located in the small town of Crawfordsville, Indiana, began hosting GNCC Racing way back in 1995 and only opened a motocross track in 2014, largely in part due to the success of the GNCC. Just over 10 years later, it opened its beautiful piece of land to the world, hosting its first-ever Motocross of Nations over the weekend. And what a weekend it was.

Ironman is a great host of this prestigious event. It has a MASSIVE amount of land. The track is great. The hillsides WERE PACKED all weekend and I thought the amenities were fantastic. From the Live Show, to the VIP areas, to the Rave of Nations, amazing! Overall, I gave it a 9/10.

With the U.S. hosting the MXoN in 2028 and 2031, I thought it would be cool to look at where it might be held for this edition of Most Likely.

Ironman

As stated above, this was top-notch. Great facility, great track, plenty of parking and land and it will very likely host one of the upcoming events in the U.S. I would assume it would be 2031, but I could see it return in 2028, as RedBud held the MXoN in 2018 and then again in 2022.

RedBud

As noted, RedBud has held the Motocross of Nations in 2018 and 2022. Like Ironman, it has a great track, plenty of land for parking and amenities and a probably the most rabid fan base in the sport. Would Infront want to return for a third time? I would say RedBud is near the front of the list.

Spring Creek

Rumors are the Martins want a Motocross of Nations and I’m 1000 percent for this. They have one of the best tracks in the world. The Martin family run top notch events. They are great people and would welcome the world in with open arms. My biggest question: do they have the land, etc to host this event? There were probably well over 30,000 people at Ironman. Can Spring Creek handle that? I think they can. Is it likely? I don’t know, but I would assume they are in the running.

Budds Creek

It has been a while, but I would say Budds is on the short list. It is easy to fly into (very close to Washington, DC), it has a great track and facility. It has shown it can host a Nations and, honestly, would be cool to go back. Is it likely? I think the three tracks above would get the chance before Budds.

Other options: Thunder Valley or Unadilla, but I don’t foresee Infront going there ahead of the ones listed above.
