With one round down in the 250SX East Division, I’m ready to make my title pick. Also, can Yamaha Star Racing win EVERY round in the 250SX Class? And who is my surprise pick for the East Division?
Find out all that and more below.
After one round, who is most likely to win the East Division?
For some, after only one round it is way too early for bold predictions like the one asked above. Not for me. I’ll sling around bold predictions all day, every day.
Cole Davies will be your 250SX East Division Champion.
I think people forget how good this kid was AS A ROOKIE in 2025. He was off for such a long time that his riding seems to have escaped peoples brains. Well, in Arlington he showed why he’ll be the next champion. His whoop speed is unreal and how he worked his way through traffic was veteran-like.
Sure, Seth Hammaker and Pierce Brown have the experience, but there is something special about Davies that is hard to contain.

Is Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing most likely to sweep the 250SX class?
As of today, they are a perfect 7-for-7. Max Anstie kicked things off at A1, Haiden Deegan went scorched earth and won five in a row and Brown started things off in the East with a W.
Could they? They most certainly could. Will they? No, no they won’t. Levi Kitchen or Seth Hammaker or Jo Shimoda or someone will get at least one. But, they could come very close.

Who in the East is most likely to surprise?
Drew Adams. If you don’t follow amateur racing (download the Vurbmoto Prospect app if you don’t, it’s a life saver) you may not know much about the red head from the South. He’s good. Really good.
His rookie year was plagued by injuries, but if you paid attention, he showed serious speed at times. Apparently he’s coming off an off-season injury, so to get sixth at the opener was just the start.
Title contention this year? No, sir. His time will come, but he’ll gather some podiums in 2026. Count on that.
