Each week, Slaw, Troy, Ginger Dog, and Denny Stephenson will come up with some topics and then list the riders most likely to accomplish those feats. Hence the title “Most Likely”. Most would call us brilliant.
Is Cade Clason most likely regretting his decision to race outdoors?
T-Dog: Cade regretted this decision months ago, but now the pain has set in. I have total faith that he will get better…because it can’t get any worse.
Slaw: 1000000%. Cade could be playing tee ball with football players, instead he signed up to do 30+2 in 100 degree temps. I thought Cade was smarter than this. Guess not.
Is Gavin Towers most likely to stay in Europe?
T-Dog: Towers will stay in Europe for a couple of seasons before returning to America when a factory spot opens up. Teams here will be all over him because of his GP experience and he will get to choose between a couple of offers.
Slaw: I think he stays for a year or two. Take the Zach Osborne route where you build yourself up over there and then come back. Gavin showed he has speed in Supercross, but I think all the teams are full, so why come over here to run a satellite program when you have factory support in Europe?
Which rookie is most likely to end the season with the most points?
T-Dog: The 250SX Rookie of the Year will also be the 250SX Pro Motocross Rookie of the Year. Julen Beaumer is legit and has proven himself in the class with consistency.
Slaw: Looking at the gap right now, I don’t think anyone is catching JuJu.
Which rider is most likely to sign with Star Racing next?
T-Dog: This is an interesting part of the season because you never know with Loretta Lynn’s right around the corner. Someone could Levi Kitchen that event and Bobby Reagan could sign them on the podium as the kid is talking to Weege. If not, then we will have to wait for the offseason when I’m pretty sure that it will be Pierce Brown departing TLD GasGas for bluer pastures.
Slaw: Put the entire 250 Class on a dartboard, close your eyes and fire away.
Are the Coenen brothers most likely the second coming of the Lawrence brothers?
T-Dog: Yes. Now, if you’ll excuse me…I’m off to become an agent and I’m going to search the globe for a pair of brothers who are the next big thing in the sport. That’s what Mirtl does and I want to make what he makes.
Slaw: Lawrence bros? Man, that’s a tall order. I do think they are the next set of bros to come and make a mark on the AMA circuit. Let’s see how they adjust to Supercross before throwing Lawrence bros out there.
Who’s knees will most likely hold up better, Nicoletti’s or Barcia’s?
T-Dog: I’ll go with Phil on this one since Barcia has both of them bothering him at the moment. I’m honsestly worried that Barcia will have to get one or both of them fixed before SX starts and he may have to exit the outdoor season early.
Slaw: Poor, dudes. I really wanted to see both fully healthy this summer, but alas their knees have given out. I’ll go Phil, to answer your question.
Is Dean Wilson most likely to race RedBud?
T-Dog: He keeps teasing me that he will, so I’m going to keep bothering him until he admits that he is. It’s going to be a fun week.
Slaw: MAKE IT HAPPEN, DEAN!
