Happy Washougal weekend! We are back for another edition of Michelin Most Likely and this week we (I) examine is Jett on his way to a “kind of perfect” season, would Carson Brown top 20 the 250 Class on a Supermini and what is the most likely 250 podium this weekend?
Enjoy!
Is Jett most likely to have an “kind of perfect” season?
While not a “perfect season”, Jett is trending toward a “kind of a perfect season”. Quick side note: What are we calling it if he wins every overall but not every moto? Leaning toward “kind of a perfect” season.
Either way, the last time this was accomplished (I could totally be wrong on this. Check my work Fowler Facts) was by the GOAT, Ricky Carmichael. Yes, RC also had two perfect seasons, but in 2005, he won every overall, but NOT every moto.
The only thing I see stopping Jett is Jett OR Hunter Lawrence. Hunter is catching fire right now and is going toe-to-toe with his younger brother. Any misstep from Jett and Hunter will be there to capitalize. Unfortunately, Jett doesn’t have many missteps. So, as of today, I’ll say he’ll have him accomplishing the “yet to be named” season.
Would Carson Brown most likely top 20 on a Supermini in the 250 Class?
Go watch this video, and then we will discuss.
Could he? Not in a 30 + 2 format. It would just be too difficult. NOW, if we are talking 10 + 2, I’ll say yes. This would have been a great debate on the now-defunct Vanilla Racing Broadcast (RIP).
What is the most likely 250 Class podium?
This is literally me picking the 250 Class podium. Aside from Haiden Deegan and Jo Shimoda (to a lesser extent) this class has been all over the map. Chance Hymas was there. Then he got injured. Garrett Marchbanks and Levi Kitchen have been in the mix. Jeremy “Freakin” Martin won a moto. Mikkel Haarup is finding his footing in the U.S., Jalek Swoll has been solid in his return and Michael Mosiman is back from not retiring and getting on the box. All the aforementioned have been great—at times. Consistency has been a struggle, so yeah, I’m going in blind-ish.
Here is my podium for the 250 Class (I do have the right to say these picks don’t matter):
- Haiden Deegan
- Levi Kitchen
- Mikkel Haarup
Carson Brown would no question qualify, but top 20 is a stretch.. If and I mean IF the bike would make it 40 min, Carson would have to be riding the absolute DAWG shiz out of it and that’s a lot of energy. Is it possible, yes. Is it probable, no. Does Slaw still suck, ABSOLUTELY
