This was not the news we wanted to report on Max Vohland as the 250SX West Region resumes this weekend in Seattle.

Vohland, who crashed in mid January, suffered a dislocated hip and has been forced to sit out of racing since.

The Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider put on update on Instagram tonight saying that he’s had some complications from the surgery and will be forced to sit out the remaining rounds of Monster Energy Supercross.

Vohland finished fifth at the Anaheim opener and raced the following weekend on his way to 19th in the mud.

We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
