We are just days away from the third annual Vurbmoto 500 West presented by GoPro and Michelin at Mesquite MX. 8 hours and 20 minutes of fun await you special people. For those returning, welcome back. You know what you are in for. For new riders, welcome to the thunder dome! (I’ll see myself out.)
A few important things before we get into the nitty gritty of the event.
Spots Still Left
As of Tuesday, we still have a few pit spots left on rows 500, 600, 700 and 800. You can STILL register. But time is running out, so do it TODAY. Thanks!

Kevin Kelly, from the award-winning Winners Take Y’all podcast, will be the host of an 8 hour extravaganza on Saturday. Special guests will include: Randy Richardson, Steve Matthes, Josh Mosiman and whomever else we can track down.

EVENT INFORMATION & FAQS
TIME ZONE:
The track operates on Pacific Time (Mesquite, NV).
CAMPING (RV/TRAILER PARKING):
Mesquite MX Park will have designated areas for camping and overnight trailer/RV parking.
General Camping/Parking: North Lot/Motocross Area: $30.00/event (Thurs -Sun)
– You will pay and select your spot when you arrive.
– If you want to camp together, you must arrive together.
Reserved Camping/Parking: South Lot/Off-Road Area: $50.00/event (Thurs – Sun)
– Online Reservations Required
Pit Lane Row 1: Parking/Camping is included in your Pit
– If you arrive outside of posted hours, you can park in the overflow lot outside the gate.
– There is no camping or trailer parking on Pit Lane unless you’re on Row 1.
Power is not available. Water is available to fill tanks and barrels.
PIT LANE:
Your assigned pit location will have approximately 20 feet of frontage. Space for (2) 10×10 or (1) 10×20 EZ-UP. There is no camping or trailer parking on Pit Lane, unless you’re on Row 1
TEAM INFO:
Adjustments can be made to your Team during race check-in at the event.
BIKE NUMBERS:
Your team will be assigned a Bike Number based on your Pit Location.
Bike Numbers will be distributed during Rider Check-In.
Each team will receive 4 matching sets of numbers to apply to the plates of each bike. There is no extra cost for the numbers.
Bikes on course without an assigned bike number will not be scored.
TRANSPONDERS:
We will be using MyLaps Transponders for this event.
Transponders are distributed during Rider Check-In.
Each team will receive 1 transponder and up to 4 mounting brackets, depending on how many riders are on your team.
You will swap the transponder each time you switch to a new bike. Bikes on course without a transponder will not be scored.
There is a $200 deposit for the transponder (cash or card). The deposit is fully refundable when the transponder and mounting brackets are returned.
Non-returned brackets are $10 each.
The transponder must be mounted on the brake side fork tube, just behind the # plate. If it is not mounted correctly, it may result in an incorrect score. Additional information will be given during
Rider Check-In at the event.
Lap times and live timing will be available on the Vurbmoto Prospect app.
RIDER CHECK-IN:
Each rider must come to Rider Check-In to sign the participant waiver. You may designate someone to pick up bike numbers and transponders, but every participant must sign the waiver.
BIKES:
You are not limited on the number of bikes you can ride. However, keep in mind they must all have matching numbers and a transponder. You’ll receive 4 sets of matching numbers and 4 transponder brackets. Bikes without an assigned # or a transponder will not be scored.
RACING:
Each team can determine their own racing strategy.
– You can switch riders as often as you’d like.
– When switching, you must enter and exit in Pit Lane, and ride the entirety of your respective pit lane. Any teams caught cutting through pits or abusing pit lane rules will be docked laps.
– Rider/bike swaps are not allowed on course or mid-lap. The only acceptable place to do the swap is in your pit lane.
TROPHIES:
We will trophy the top 3 teams in each category. Special Awards & Payout.
SAFETY:
We will have an official Rider’s Meeting Friday 3/13: Time TBA. If you’re unable to attend the Rider’s Meeting, we will have a written hand-out distributed during
Rider Check-In.
Pit Lane: Rules and guidelines will be given during the riders’ meeting.
An ambulance and EMTs will be onsite for Friday practice and Saturday’s race.
We will have safety workers on course with radio communication for the entire event.
PIT TRANSPORTATION:
Pit transportation rules, guidelines, and approved vehicles can be found at MesquiteMX.com.
Subject to change: Check the website the day of the event for any updates or changes.
SPECTATORS & MISC.:
Spectators are welcome and encouraged. Bring your wives and grandparents.
Food trucks and concessions will be on-site Friday and Saturday.

DIRECTIONS:
Certain phone maps and GPS systems will provide incorrect directions.
To ensure you take the correct route, put Mesquite, NV as your destination.
Once you are in Mesquite (I-15 exit 122), restart your route to the track address.
Mesquite MX Park
970 E Peppermill Palms Blvd: You should then receive the following directions:
- Turn East onto Pioneer Blvd (0.3 miles)
- Turn North onto Hillside Dr (1.5 miles)
- Turn East onto Peppermill Palms Blvd (towards Palms Golf Course)
- Follow the road through Palms Golf Course & Mesquite Arena (1.6 miles)
- You’ve arrived at Mesquite MX
- The track is 3.5 miles from I-15 exit 122.
- TIME ZONE: Pacific Time (Mesquite, NV)
- ELEVATION: 1,600 FT
- PETS: Friendly pets are welcome. They must be kept on a leash at all times.
- POWER: Power is not available. Bring generators for power.
- WATER FILL: Fresh water is available to fill RVs & barrels. Inquire at the front gate for fill locations.
