Jason Anderson “I Feel Fine Right Now”

After working his way into the lead on lap 6 of the 450 main event on Saturday night at round 10 of Monster Energy Supercross in Detroit, Jason Anderson led the following seven laps. But he had pressure from a hard charging Eli Tomac late in the race.

On lap 13, Tomac pushed his way into the lead. But Anderson wasn’t giving up and stayed within striking distance of Tomac.

Later in the race though, Anderson tucked the front end after the finish line. He did remount, but stumbled through the next section of the track and crashed at the end of the rhythm. Anderson did not return to the race, but was able to get up under his own power. He finished 21st.

You can watch the crash below:

After the race, the Monster Energy Kawasaki team released an update on Anderson, who said he’s “glad I feel fine right now and am planning on giving it my all in Indianapolis next weekend.”

“I was feeling really good today from the start of the first practice,” said Anderson in a press release. “Probably the best I’ve felt racing in Detroit, and I think my performance throughout the night showed I had what it took to win tonight. Unfortunately, I pushed a little too hard while challenging for the lead and had a crash that ended my race early. It’s unlucky, but these things happen. I’m just glad I feel fine right now and am planning on giving it my all in Indianapolis next weekend.”
