San Digeo Supercross Injury Report

450SX

Justin Barcia is out for the immediate future following a scary crash at the season opener in Anaheim when he landed on Malcolm Stewart on the opening lap of the 450SX main event. Although he was able to walk out of the hospital under his own power the next morning, Barcia said he “broke a little wing” in his back and is dealing with extreme soreness.

Benny Bloss sustained a broken wrist on press day prior to the opener and is expected to be off the bike five to six weeks.

Malcolm Stewart suffered a dislocated shoulder in the crash with Barcia and Anaheim 1. At this time, the team has yet to release any further information on his status for round 2 or going forward.

Also out: Jett Lawrence, Jordon Smith

250SX

Hunter Yoder suffered a partially torn ACL in a tip over prior to the season opener. He raced anyway, finished 8th in the 250SX main event and will continue to race through the injury.

Also out: Julien Beaumer, Jo Shimoda
