Great Britain Names 2021 Motocross of Nations Team

We’d like to inform you of a team THAT PLANS TO ATTEND the 2021 Motocross of Nations. With Team USA and Australia pulling out in the last few days, this is some good news!

Great Britain have announced their squad for the event set for Mantova in Italy on September 25-26. The team will consist of Ben Watson (MXGP), Conrad Mewse (MX2) and Shaun Simpson (Open).

Watson previously contested the event with the team in 2018 in MX2, while Simpson is a long-time member of the team. Italy will mark the first time Mewse has represented GB.

Team manager Mark Chamberlain commented: “I’m happy with the selection and feel it’s the right Team to go to Italy and represent us. Ben has been riding well at GP’s all year. Conrad has had great form at the British, then had some health issues but is coming back to great form at the right time. Shaun has also started to hit good form and I always like to have a guy with a lot of experience on the Team. We are looking forward to giving our best for Team GB.”

GB has finished third overall the last three years the event was contested (2017-2019). In 2019 a team of Simpson, Nathan Watson and Adam Sterry finished on the podium. The 2020 MXoN was canceled due to COVID-19.
