Team Green Kawasaki announced today that Enzo Temmerman will miss the upcoming SMX Next Championship due to injuries sustained in a practice crash earlier this week.
Temmerman, the 2025 AMA Horizon Award winner, wrote on his personal Instagram that he suffered a broken femur. Per the post, it was the same femur he broke in 2024.
“Very frustrated with what happened earlier this week,” he said. “Had a surgery after SMX in hopes to fix a lingering leg injury. Took about 3 months off and just got back to riding supercross a few weeks ago. Had a crash and broke the same femur.”
The California native had a breakout 2025 campaign. In addition to his Horizon Award win, he won the SMX Next round at Birmingham and Ironman Raceway. He raced three rounds of Pro Motocross with his best finish of 13th overall coming at Washougal.
The 2026 SMX Next series starts at round 3 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship from Anaheim 2.
