Colt Nichols Following Nasty WSX Crash: “Feeling beat up today but nothing crazy”

During the third round of the FIM World Supercross Championship on Sunday (day two of a double-header) HEP Suzuki’s Colt Nichols was involved in a scary crash in the first GP race.

Dean Wilson went down in a rhythm section and Nichols had nowhere to go and clipped his bike and went down hard. According to WSX, Nichols was transported to the local hospital and did not race the remainder of the event.

Nichols released an update on social media today and luckily he seems to be ok.

“Well the Perth trip didn’t end too well 🥴 struggled Saturday night for sure but felt better Sunday and had a racing incident happen main 1. Feeling beat up today but nothing crazy so rest up and see what the next few days brings us. Thanks to everybody for checking in and @kayparky for taking care of me. @trav.thompson video from his YouTube”

The series wraps up on Dec 4 for the Abu Dhabi GP. We will post an update on Nichols’ status for the season finale as we know more.
