Colby Raha continues to keep the spirt of Evel Knievel alive. On Saturday, at the Palm Springs Surf Club, the 11-time X Games medalist broke a world record that had stood since 1973.
Hitting 110 miles per hour, per NBC Palm Springs, Raha jumped over 23 BMW cars and landed 200-feet to flat, breaking the previous record of 171-feet held by Bob Gill.
“200ft on the dot for the “furthest motorcycle jump to flat landing world record” @recordbreakers.co,” Raha wrote on Instagram. “Wheels were bent, spokes were broken, a record was broken, and now it’s off to @xgames in 6 days! See you all in Salt Lake City, Utah. Thanks again for the opportunity.”
After his record breaking jump, Raha is now off to X Games Salt Lake City where he looks to add a fifth XG Moto X QuarterPipe High Air title to his resume.
