Chance Hymas Puts Pro Debut on Hold

Honda HRC’s Chance Hymas entered Loretta Lynn’s as a favorite for the Horizon Award, but things never really got started for the Idaho native at the Ranch.

Hymas struggled all week and finished 9th in Open Pro Sport and 6th in 250 Sport Sport. As I wrote yesterday, this is ONE week and yeah, I still have high hopes for Hymas’ future.

Anyway, instead of going pro at Unadilla this weekend, Hymas and the team have decided not to race the last four rounds of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

“Only up from here! Bummed about my performance at LL is an understatement. Back to the drawing board and gonna keep working! With that being said, my team and myself have decided it’s best that I don’t race the upcoming @promotocross rounds and I take this time to get myself back to 100%. Thank you to everyone for the support, I couldn’t do it without you guys🙌”

We’ll see if this means Hymas turns pro in Monster Energy Supercross in 2023 or at Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.
