Announcement: The Vurb Classic Returns for 2021

We’re like one of those rappers who used to have chart topping hits, then everyone thought he was done, but then, he came back and rapped about how he never left and how he’s been in this game for years. Except instead of making millions in the rap game, we’re making memories in the moto game.

The Vurb Classic is back. For all those new to the Vurb platform, which is soon to be taking over the entire universe, the Vurb Classic is probably the coolest, most core race in the country, nay, the galaxy.

DETAILS

  • AMA Pro AM Event
  • October 1-3
  • NxtLvl 101 / South Carolina

We’ve been shredding our faces off all year having a ball with absolutely no racing. And while more Shred Tour dates are slated to kick off all over the country (click here for schedule) we’re ready to drop some gates, bro!

I went on a trip down memory lane with the intention of pulling up a throwback video to talk about for this week’s Vintage Vibes article, but I couldn’t settle on just one. I quickly phoned up our CEO, Troy, and he was kind enough to let me choose more than one, which was super cool of our Chief Executive Officer to do.

The Classic started in 2008 and eventually grew to include races in California, the Midwest, Maine, and Georgia. And like Dr. Dre lacing up his Air Jordan’s for a reunion tour, the classic is back this October 1-3 at Nxt Lvl 101 in South Carolina. You can check out some deets below, or click here to get even MORE info.

We’re stoked to be hooking up with legendary track owners Jessica Patterson and Eddie Ray for this event and will be dropping more news in the coming weeks.

Until then, check out a few select Classic videos that brought back a lot of memories for Bird Dog, and even made me shed a little tear. But it was a tough ass man tear, so don’t play me like a punk.

The King of the Classic award is our highest achievement given at each race. It’s awarded to the rider with the most moto wins over the entire weekend. This is a video of Barcia promoting the King of the Classic for us and, well, anything with Barcia in it tends to be worth posting. Not to mention we somehow got Subway on board to sponsor this and we thought we were some true ballers. Pretty sure we traded it for some free footlongs, but still, it was cool.

The man behind the Moto Spy edit bay, Will Posey, put this little promo together for us leading up with the Classic at Echeconee in Georgia. You can tell that even back in the day Will had natural skill as an editor. He’s only gotten better. Who want’s to see another race at this iconic facility?

Oatfield was our first attempt at doing a race in California and, to be honest, we were pretty damn nervous. We’ve always had a good presence in Cali, but being from down South getting our crew out there was an expensive risk. Lucky for us we got nothing but love from the Left Coast. Count on a West Coast round in the future, hopefully the very near future.

Before the Maine Event, it was the Vurb Classic Maine Event. We’ll be back up north to hang with the bros soon enough, but in the meantime watch this stupid ass video of Travis Steward asking fake questions around the pits of our 2015 event. There are plenty more sick riding videos of our Northeastern Classic, but this one made me laugh and Troy (CEO) said it was cool if I posted it.

We’ll be dropping more news following Loretta’s. Until then, get all the info you need to plan your trip to Nxt Lvl 101 in South Carolina for the 2021 Vurb Classic on October 1-3.
