Alex Ray Re-Signs with SGB and Takes on a New Role

Jason Butschky’s Maryland-based SGB Racing team announced today that they have re-signed Alex Ray to a supercross-only deal for the 2022 season. The team is also changing brands—moving from Kawasaki to Honda.

This will be the third season Ray has spent with the team.

The team also announced that Ray will take on the crew chief role for the team in Lucas Oil Pro Motocross.

Ray made eight 450 main events in 2021, with a season-high 17th coming at Daytona. He finished the season 26th in points.

Ray missed most of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season due to double wrist injuries.
