The Wait Is Over: Loretta’s Fantasy Is Here

The biggest week in amateur motocross just got even better. For the first time, fans can play Loretta Lynn’s Fantasy for FREE through the Vurbmoto Prospect App.

With Loretta Lynn’s Fantasy, you can draft your team, follow every race, and see how your picks stack up against the rest of the motocross community during the biggest amateur event of the season.

Beginning on Monday, rosters will be available on the Vurbmoto Prospect App and you can begin selecting your team. You will be able to pick your team all the way through end of first motos on Wednesday.

So, how does it work? I shall explain.

The Basics

Where do I play?
The first thing you will want to do is download the Prospect app FOR FREE on the App Store and Google Play. From there, click into the “Loretta’s Zone” and click “Fantasy”

How do I play?
Pick the event, choose a class, and build your lineup before picks lock. For each pick, you select a rider and the overall finishing position you think they will earn. The closer your predicted position is to that rider’s actual finish, the more points you get.

When do picks lock?
At the end of first motos on Wednesday, August 5.

How is each pick scored?
We compare your predicted overall finish to the rider’s actual overall finish in that class. Exact match earns the most points. The farther off you are, the fewer points you receive. Twelve or more positions off, or a rider with no official finish, scores zero.

What counts toward my event total?
Each fantasy event limits how many classes you can enter and that cap is the most you can pick. Every class you play counts. Your event total is the sum of all your class scores, and each class score is the sum of every pick in that lineup. For Loretta’s, you can select up to five classes.

Groups and leaderboards
Create or join a group to compete with friends. Group leaderboards use the same scores as the global board, filtered to members. Usernames are shown publicly. We do not show email or phone publicly.

Points Scale

So, who do the points actually work? Your points drop as your prediction drifts from the rider’s actual overall finish. If you pick the exact finishing position, you will score 100 points. If you are one position off, you will score 80 and so on.

Remember: you are not picking the top 5 or even 10. If you think a rider will finish 27th, you can pick them to finish 27th.

Examples

Each pick is scored independently and then added together for your class total.

  • Nailed it — Predicted P1 · Actual P1 → 100 pts
You picked P1 and the rider finished P1.
  • Close call — Predicted P5 · Actual P6 → 80 pts
One position off — still a strong score.
  • In the ballpark — Predicted P4 · Actual P9 → 35 pts
Five positions off still earns partial credit.
  • Way off — Predicted P3 · Actual P16 → 0 pts
12 or more positions off scores zero.
  • DNF or not listed — Predicted P8 · Actual No finish → 0 pts
If the rider has no official finish in the class, the pick scores 0.

Full Class Example

For Loretta’s, you will be picking five riders per class and up to five classes. While you don’t have to pick five classes, it will help your point total.
