Hello, Quentin Prugnieres

Never heard of Quentin Prugnieres? Join the club. Prior to the last two days, I hadn’t either. So, I Asked Jeeves and found out some more about Mr. Prugnieres.

He’s from France. He finished 5th in the EMX250 Championship in 2022. He rides for Bud Racing and finished ninth in SX2 at Paris Supercross.

Well, Quentin had a breakout ride in America in the SX-portion of the event at Mini O’s. He finished third in 250 A and damn near won 450 Pro Sport before being passed by Haiden Deegan on the final lap.

Is he the next French guy? Guess we will find out, but his performance so far has been impressive.

Dax Debuts

Monster Energy/Star Racing Yamaha continues to gobble up talent. The latest: Dax Bennick.

The North Carolina native had previously only ridden KTMs since making his Loretta Lynn’s debut in the 51 Class back in 2012 before signing with Star in October.

Well, the five-time Loretta Lynn champ made his debut with the team this week at Mini O’s. Dax is off to a good start with a win in 250 A and 3-4 finishes in 450 Pro Sport and 250 Pro Sport.

We’ll see how he fares outdoors starting on Wednesday.

Deegan Continues to Win

Not sure why people big mad Deegan is racing this week. 1) Nothing in the rules says he can’t, so why not? 2) Mini O’s is one of the races you get to earn your AMA Road to Supercross points, so yeah, he needs to race it.

Anyway, Deegan had to do some work in 450 Pro Sport, as he was second until the final lap. He also won 250 Pro Sport and got 5th in 250 A. Good start to the week for Deegs.

Welcome Back Janik

Team Green Kawasaki’s Krystian Janik has been off the radar after missing Loretta’s due to a displaced elbow, but he’s back this week.

He’s off to a good start too with a win in 250 B and a third in Schoolboy 2. He had a big crash in 450 B but still managed a 9th. It’s nice to have Janik back in action this week.

Carson Wood Shines in Debut

Just two weeks ago, Carson Wood announced he was moving to Team Green Kawasaki and Mini O’s would serve as his debut with the team.

Well, he’s off to a hot start. He won Mini Sr 2, finished second in Mini Sr 1 and 85cc (12-13). He also took third in 85cc (9-13). Great start to his Kawi career for Carson.
