2026 500 West Registration NOW Open to General Public

Some races stay in your memory… and some brand themselves into your soul. The Vurbmoto 500 West has always done the latter. Five hundred minutes in the desert doesn’t negotiate. It doesn’t care about your prep, your fitness plan, your perfect bike setup, or how optimistic you were rolling through the gate. Somewhere around the midpoint, every single rider is questioning every choice that led them here. And then—without fail—the second you see the checkered flag, the only thought is: “We’re doing this again next year, right?”

It’s raw. It’s ridiculous. It’s strangely addictive. And yes, it returns in 2026. On March 14, 2026, Mesquite MX—just outside Las Vegas—hosts the madness once more.

And starting TODAY, registration is open to the general public. Of note: Past participants and Vurbmoto newsletter subscribers got first access, so a LOT of pit spots have already been taken. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t spots left. They do fill up fast and we have sold out the last two years, so don’t wait to get your team a spot.

The 500 would not be possible without the support of FMF, Michelin and MotoSport.

WHAT’S NEW!?

Pit Locations: Pits are sold individually and will represent your starting position (New for 2026). For example, all 01 pit locations will start first, followed by the 02 locations, and so on. Want to get a jump on the competition, better be near the front.

Pit locations 101-125 will allow for one race support rig (RV, Trailer, Van, Etc.) on pit lane. Purchase early, the club is limited to just 25 teams.

Pitting: Riders are not required to pit. If you want to torture yourself with multiple laps, you can skip pit lane.

When pitting, you will ONLY go down your respective pit lane (see map below). Also of note, all pit lanes will be a mandatory 10mph speed limit. Riders breaking the speed limit will be subject to disqualification.

Pricing has changed this year. It’s a bit more complicated than this, but know the better the starting position, the more your spot costs. (Of note: Your Pit Location is your Entry Fee for the event. If you did not select and pay for a Pit Location, your registration is not complete.) But now there’s no pro class. Everyone is eligible for the purse in the overall ranking. Part of the price increase will go into the purse. Details on that later. If you have questions, let us know at [email protected] and we’ll get you dialed.

WHAT IS THE 500?

An 8-hr and 20-minute (500 total minutes) team or solo race with your boys (or girls). The course will consist of two tamed down moto tracks, a 5-6 mile off-road loop, and a hard enduro section (don’t worry, we have a Scaredy Cat lane). This equates to an average 17-minute lap time for a novice.

Whether you are a Hard Enduro Champion or a weekend warrior looking for fun with your buddies, The 500 is a perfect mix for all skill levels. The goal? Have fun, kick some beers, race your buddies and try not to throw up. Oh, and do more laps than whoever you’re trying to beat.

Class List

Class structure will remain the same in 2026. If you are unfamiliar with class structure, here is how it works. Classes will be based on the combined age of the overall team as of the day of the race. For example, a team of four 25-year-old riders would register for the 91-119yrs old class. A team of a 40-year-old, a 50-year-old, a 60-year-old and a 20-year-old would sign up for the 160yr plus class.
