Round 14 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross was held this past weekend in East Rutherford. And while there were a TON of great quotes during the press conference and such, we went deeper. And got things riders 100000000 PERCENT DID NOT SAY.

Without further ado, these are things that definitely WERE NOT said by the riders or personnel after the 14th round of the 2023 Monster Energy Supercross Championship, but we all know they were thinking it.

Weatherman for the whole of Europe: “It always rains here, 24/7. Every. Single. Day. That’s why Max Anstie can win in the mud.”

No one ever: “I really wanted to do a mud race.”

Aaron Plessinger: “I just had to go an injure myself right before the rain came. This really hasn’t been my year.”

Chase Sexton: “I thought after last week, we were cool. We are not cool. Definitely not.”

Max Anstie: “Can we just skip these annoying podium interviews?”

RJ Hampshire: “That went exactly how I planned it in my head… almost.”

Barcia’s Mechanic: “It was awesome of Justin to leave the bike in the middle of that mound of mud. Certainly made my job easier, having to get it out and then wheel it back to the pits.”

SX Future’s Rider: “Definitely not in the least bit guilty about having a dry race before the lightning and rain came. I’ll race in that stuff when it’s time.”

Eli Tomac: “I did the whole ‘limp off’ deal and it worked a treat. Got right in everyone’s heads, thinking I was injured and I just came out and extended my points lead. Boom.”
