The Final Stop of Carson Brown’s BackYard Tour: Pastranaland

Episode 3 of Carson’s BackYard Tour presented by MotoSport.com closed out our Southeast swing—but a few weeks later the universe handed us a golden ticket: a full day at Pastranaland.

We headed to Maryland to film a handful of ERA’s with Carson Brown, Ken Roczen, and the man himself — Travis Pastrana. After a full day of riding, Travis flipped the script and decided to run his own version of the Backyard Tour.

Carson took laps on a Stark Varg, faced a 130-foot side-by-side jump, and survived a near-dark pitbike free-for-all around the compound. It was a sunup to sundown day at the biggest playground in motocross.

And just like that, Round 1 of Carson’s BackYard Tour was complete. From Tennessee forests to pitbike compounds to the madness of Pastranaland, this trip showed how many different ways moto connects people—and why backyard riding can mean anything.

Been 'round these parts making dirtbike movies since '02; a weathered veteran with moto and camera related back issues, the hearing equivalent to my great-great grandfather's, and a dirt tan that will literally never come off. But I'm still in way better shape than every other dog in this joint, but that's because I use Chili and no slaw.
