The first motos of the motocross portion at Mini O’s kicked off Wednesday. That’s right, we are going outdoors. This track is so awesome. The change in terrain, the deep ruts it forms, and the sand/dirt mixture… it’s like a dream. Let’s just get a quick rundown on some of the best classes I saw today and who finished in the top 3.

250 Pro Sport

Caden Dudney – 1st

Krystian Janik – 2nd

Landon Gibson – 3rd

Landon Gordon was out front to start the race but would slowly trickle back, while Caden Dudney moveed into the lead and slowly pull an 8 second gap. Krystian Janik has been riding phenomenal and charged into 2nd. Landon Gibson came from probably 6th or 7th charging hard with Jonathan Getz trailing him in along the way. Getz has had a super good week and has been battling in the top 10. Title contender Avery Long would go down on lap 1, but seemed to be ok. Hopefully we will see him in his next class and back battling up front.

Schoolboy 2

Div 1

Vincent Wey – 1st

Owen Covell – 2nd

Deacon Deano – 3rd

Div 2

Landon Hartz – 1st

Chace Lawton – 2nd

Tristan Dalton – 3rd

This is shaping up to be a good 2nd moto. This class is loaded and there’s guys outside the top 3 with the speed to win. Landon Hartz continues his undefeated streak at Mini O and is up to 7 wins. Deacon Deano has found his way to a podium finish and I think we’ll finally see this kid shine in the motocross portion of the week. Shoutout to the local kid Tristan Dalton on a solid 3rd in his division.

85cc (9-13)

Div 1

Gauge Brown – 1st

Sawyer Gieck – 2nd

Jackson Vick – 3rd

Div 2

Whalyn Ballenger – 1st

Hudson Short – 2nd

Austin Keller – 3rd

Gauge Brown has been putting in some super solid rides this summer and continues to do so this week. Winning 1 championship already this week in SX, he’s set himself up for another title opportunity. This won’t come easy with Sawyer Gieck is in the same moto. Gieck has been on the gas all week, winning two championships in SX and finishing 4th in his other class. This should be great racing all week.
