Prospect: What Is It and How It’s Revolutionizing Moto

Our mission at Vurb has always been to push boundaries…in a good way. If we can make a lasting impact on our sport, then our mission is complete. We did that in 2007 when we were the first to bring video to the internet. We’re doing it again with the introduction of Prospect, a platform that is not only advancing how riders, fans, brands and content creators interact with the sport, but is also banding the entire industry together in a way that has never been done.

Essentially, we built Prospect because the motocross industry has been operating like it’s still 2009. Positive change is needed for our sport to reach its true ceiling, so we took it upon ourselves to do it.

Riders are still screenshotting lap times. Tracks are posting flyers on Facebook like it’s their last hope. Promoters are juggling 17 different tools just to get 200 people to show up to a gate drop. And let’s not even get started on how impossible it is for brands to know if their marketing is working.

So we decided to invest every dollar we had and built an app. Enter the new era of moto–the Prospect era.

Prospect: One App for the Entire Moto Ecosystem

Prospect isn’t just an app—it’s your digital pit board for the whole sport. It connects tracks, promoters, riders, fans, and now—creators.

Here’s what’s live and working:

  • Real-time live timing and historical results from races across the country. (If you’re a track owner or promoter and want your results in Prospect, just claim your track in the app or email us at [email protected].)
  • Rider profiles and rankings that auto-update
  • Track discovery and event listings that help riders plan their race season and drive more riders through the gate for tracks
  • Geo-targeted tools for advertisers. This allows both big and small brands to connect with real riders.
  • Revenue tools for tracks and promoters (yes, we want to help you make money—not just survive)

News Is Now Inside Prospect

That’s right—we just dropped a full newsfeed inside the app. But this isn’t just Vurb blasting our content into another feed. This is built for creators and  platforms from around the industry already inside the news feed including: Gypsy Tales, Main Event Moto, GateDrop, Winners Take Y’all, GoPro Moto, BROtocross, Camworkx, and Matt Burkeen, with many more on the way.

We’re building the first true open platform for global motocross media, where creators from every corner of the sport can share, grow, and reach new audiences. And all the traffic will go to the creator’s platform, giving them the ability to sell more advertising.

So if you create moto content—news, stories, edits, photo galleries—hit us up. We’ll be rolling out creator tools, monetization features, and syndication support. More creators = better for the sport.

The Big Picture: Fix What’s Broken, Elevate What’s Working

This isn’t just about making race results easier to find (although yes, that’s part of it). Prospect is about reconnecting the industry:

– Helping small tracks get noticed
– Giving riders a reason to come back every weekend
– Making promoters’ lives easier so they can focus on building great events
– Giving advertisers confidence that their money isn’t getting lost in the scroll
– Supporting MX Sports, AMA, and timing companies by surfacing their events and services in a better, modern format
– And now: giving creators a home, and helping media thrive, not just survive

How You Can Help (Even If You’re Just Here for the Memes)

  • Download Prospect — it’s free and way less annoying than Facebook
  • Claim your track or promoter account — and let us help you grow
  • Contribute stories, videos, and content — just email us at [email protected] and we’ll get you all the details
  • Advertise smarter — geo-target riders by location, race history and more

We’re building this for the sport. For the next kid who’s dreaming of Loretta’s. For the local track fighting to stay open. For the filmer who’s up ‘til 2am editing footage in a van.

And we’re just getting started.
