News, Notes, and Results: Denver

The penultimate round of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship has come and gone. Now only one round remains and THREE champions will be crowned next weekend in Salt Lake City. Cooper Webb did his best to keep himself in this title hunt, but his injured wrist from Birmingham is proving too much to overcome. Jett Lawrence went from a 20-point lead leaving Indianapolis in mid-March, to being tied in the standings leaving Foxborough three weeks ago, back to a 20-point lead heading into the final round.

The 250SX West Region Championship has turned into a winners take all event at the finale. RJ Hampshire and Levi Kitchen are all tied up heading into the lake of salt. Something crazy is about to happen a the East/West Showdown next weekend, I just don’t know what that will be yet.

Shimoda won his second 250SX Main Event of his career.

The first half of the race was led by Hunter Lawrence, who had his best showing in the 450 class yet.

Tomac made the move into third early, but then crashed soon after.

Jett made the move on Hunter a little over the halfway point of the race. Hunter would stay close, but little brother would take his eighth victory of the season, tying him with Chad Reed as most wins as a premiere class rookie.
