We are less than a month away from the start of the 2026 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season on Jan 10 at Angel Stadium, and while we don’t “officially know” which 250SX riders will race which Division, (I’ll save everyone a Steve Matthes rant, but we have to find a way to fix this) we do have an idea.

Keep in mind, THIS COULD CHANGE by the time I hit publish. Injuries, etc. could drastically change this lineup, but hey, I’m doing my best. Keep this in mind AMA when you start too look into the 2026 AMA Media Member of the Year nominees.

Read on and again, don’t @ me if this changes. Please send complaints directly to Weege.

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki

Levi Kitchen – West Division

Drew Adams – West Division

Seth Hammaker – East Division

Cameron McAdoo – East Division

Mitch Payton notoriously never announces which Divisions his team will race, but we kind of have an idea heading into 2026. Seth Hammaker had shoulder surgery this off-season which will force him to the East. Meanwhile, McAdoo missed a lot of time last year with a knee injury and will use the extra time to get back into form. So, we’re taking a GUESS that it will be Kitchen and Adams out West.

Honda HRC Progressive

Chance Hymas – West Division

Jo Shimoda – Injured

This has been confirmed. Hymas will race the West Division in 2026. Jo Shimoda suffered a neck injury during off-season testing and is expected to miss the entire Supercross season.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna

Ryder DiFrancesco – West Division

Casey Cochran – East Division

Daxton Bennick – East Division

It is expected Ryder D will begin the season out West with Casey Cochran and new signee, Daxton Bennick, heading up the East for the team.

Triumph Factory Racing

Deacon Denno – West Division

Jalek Swoll- East Division

Austin Forkner – East Division

This has been confirmed. Austin Forkner will begin the year in the 450 Class and contest at least the first six rounds before joining Swoll in the East Division. Steve Matthes is reporting that rookie Deacon Denno, who signed with the team after Loretta’s, will race the West Division.

Red Bull KTM

Julien Beaumer – Injured

Beaumer will miss the entire Supercross season as he continues to recover from a burst fracture in his back suffered at the first round of the SMX Playoffs in September.

Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing

Haiden Deegan – West Division

Michael Mosiman – West Division

Max Anstie – West Division

Cole Davies – East Division

Nate Thrasher – East Division

Pierce Brown – East Division

This is not official. Deegan will defend his West Region title and is expected to have Mosiman and Anstie join him. Davies had thumb surgery this off-season and is expected to race East. Brown is coming off a back injury last year and probably wants more time. Thrasher is expected to race East as well.

ClubMX Yamaha
