We are down ten rounds! The Monster Energy Supercross Championship heads to Seattle this weekend, so in this edition of Most Likely, we examine some things like how will the rain impact the race, how much merch did Deegs sell, the rider most likely to wrestle a bear and more.

Read on…

It’s Seattle, so rain will be a factor this weekend. Who is this most likely to affect for the worse?

Slaw: According to the weather man, it is supposed to stop raining in Seattle by tonight and tomorrow should be clear. Still, this will impact the track and the layout, as Feld has already released an updated track map.

I can’t get memories of Chase Sexton’s holeshot at a muddy San Fran out of my head or of AP doing a muddy belly flop after his Seattle win. So, I don’t think it affects them negatively at all. I’ll go with Cooper Webb. I think he’ll podium, but the KTM boys will take the top two spots.

How much merch did Haiden Deegan most likely sell post arrest?

Slaw: Amazing bit of marketing by the Deegs. Look, these shirts were going to go online, so why not do it yourself? Hate the player, don’t hate the game. Or something like that.

Rider most likely to wrestle a bear AND win?

Slaw: Ben LaMay. He is from Alaska. He literally catches and eats raw salmon for breakfast, then hunts a deer with his bare hands for lunch. For dinner, he fights bears.

Is Sexton most likely back?!?!

Slaw: See above. The break was well-needed for Sexton, even though he was sick, as he explained post Birmingham.

“Well, I actually, I planned to like an off weekend with my boys to the beach and I woke up Friday not feeling great. I rode and then I woke up Saturday, didn’t feel really good. Went to the beach and then I threw up all Saturday, Sunday. So, I don’t know if I got like a stomach bug or what it was, food poisoning. We never really put a finger on it, but it was bad. So, I wasn’t feeling good until about Thursday and, yeah, this is how it goes sometimes, but maybe it’s what I needed.”

Sometimes, getting away from everything is a must to be able to refocus. The break is exactly what Sexton needed and he is SO back after his win last weekend.
