We are down 12 rounds! The Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship heads to Philadelphia this weekend, so in this edition of Most Likely, we examine some things like: Is this a must-win for Sexton (again)? Will Dean top 10 in his debut? And much more.

Read on…

Is Dean Wilson most likely to top 10 in his Honda HRC debut?

Slaw: First, this is one of the coolest things of 2025. Dean on Honda HRC Progressive, riding the last five rounds on a factory bike, just like he deserves. While I have no idea if this is Dean’s last year, IF it is, what a way to go for the lad.

In regards to this weekend, top 10 is unlikely. BUT, I think Dean will be in contention. If we get rain, which is likely, as we saw last week, Dean could podium for all we know. I just think a lot comes with a first race with a new team and kind of a new bike (Dean has been racing a Honda, but not this Honda) and Dean will hover around 12th.

Most likely to have most riders in the top 10: East or West?

Slaw: Going West here… but not by much. I think Deegan, Davies, JuJu, Shimoda, Smith and Mosiman all top 10, giving the West six riders to the East’s four. Who wins? I’m riding the hot hand and going with Davies. The kid has been unreal and I don’t see him slowing down one bit as the West takes on the East Saturday.

Second week in a row, but is this a must-win for Chase Sexton?

Slaw: Umm… yes! I said last week was a must-win (kinda) so now facing a 15-point hole with five rounds, Sexton needs to break Webb’s confidence. No easy feat, but Sexton has to find a way to finish ahead of Webb this weekend and cut into that deficit.

Are we most likely to see more in the Deegan/JuJu rivalry?

Slaw: Umm… yes! Look, this isn’t going away. Deegan knows what he’s doing and JuJu seems like he’s ready to dive into this head on as well. Will it be as intense as we saw in Seattle? Probably not, but something will happen. Lead Slaw lock of the week.
