Maxime Renaux Injury Update

Maxime Renaux has enjoyed a great start to his rookie MXGP campaign. He won the overall at the MXGP of Spain and entered the weekend at the MXGP of Germany second in points to Tim Gajser.

Unfortunately in the qualifying race over the weekend, the Frenchman had a big crash and sustained four fractured vertebrae, according to the Monster Energy Yamaha team.

Unfortunately, Maxime Renaux crashed hard in the qualifying heat and sustained four fractured vertebrae. Renaux has returned home for further evaluation; updates on his condition will be published in due course.

A return date has not been announced yet.
