Is Kyle Peters Going for AMA Arenacross Championship #6? | Squad Pod

Mini Monsters by Seven is coming up the weekend of October 11-13th at Lincoln Trail in Illinois. It’s a great warm-up for the Vurb Classic which will be at NXT LVL 101 the following weekend October 18-20th in South Carolina. Mini Monsters, now AMA Sanctioned is the one event series of the year that focuses only on youth racers. They just added Schoolboy and 125cc classes, so kids who grew up with and aged out of Mini Monsters now get to return!

They have HUGE discounts for second and THIRD classes, which we all can appreciate right now. Also, the vibe at these races is to get everyone in the family on some sort of bike for the weekend. They have a mom race, father/son race, STACYC Gromcross, and beginner/novice classes for those who aren’t quite up to national speed yet. Combine that with your typical AMA age group classes and you’ve got yourself a fun filled event. Trophies go to the top ten in every class as well. Check them out on Instagram@minimonstersmx.

The AMA Arenacross Championship presented by Kicker is quickly approaching! The series kicks off on November 15th in Reno, Nevada. One of the biggest storylines heading into the season is whether or not five-time series champion Kyle Peters will return to go for record breaking title number six.

So, what better way to kick off our AX coverage than to have the man on himself to clarify everything?

We called KP up this week to catch up on his life since the season ended, his ideas to grow AX and where he’d like to see the series in 5-10 years, what his relationship with Ryan Breece is like after their battles last season, and we also get to the bottom of how much longer he wants to race, plus if he wants to race Monster Energy Supercross again.

Then we talked about what it was like for him when he signed an amateur to pro deal with Star Racing Yamaha and what it was like finishing second at the Indianapolis Supercross in 2013 on a full privateer ride.
