Jordon Smith Provides Update Following Crash at Arlington Supercross

Triumph Factory Racing’s Jordon Smith has released an update following his brutal crash in the first 250SX Triple Crown race at round 7 of Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Arlington, TX.

On his social media, Smith said he sustained a punctured lung and possibly some broken ribs in the crash.

“Hey guys, obviously really bummed with going down so hard like that. Was feeling good and felt good all the way through. I’m in the hospital right now. Unfortunately I sustained a punctured lung and possibly some broken ribs. All good we will heal up and be back as soon as possible.”

Smith was leading the race late when he crashed hard in the whoops. He was eventually taken off the track on a stretcher and was later transported to a local hospital, per the TV broadcast.

Smith entered the race just two points back of Julien Beaumer in the 250SX West Region Championship, but was credited with 22nd overall in Arlington, resulting in zero championship points. He now sits fifth in points and is 24 points back of Arlington winner and new championship leader Haiden Deegan as the West Region goes on break before returning March 8 at the East/West Showdown in Indy.
