Monster Energy Kawasaki announced on Friday that Jason Anderson will miss round 7 of the Pro Motocross Championship at Spring Creek due to ongoing health issues.
After missing the end of the Monster Energy Supercross Championship due to illness, Anderson said he was prepared entering the Pro Motocross Championship and he began the season 7-8 performances. He struggled in the elevation at Thunder Valley (Anderson has had issues with elevation throughout his career) before rebounding with a 7th overall at High Point.
Since then, it has been a struggle for the veteran. At Southwick, Anderson said he was getting sick in the motos and failed to finish each time. Last weekend at RedBud, Anderson had to pull out of the second moto after he said he wasn’t feeling 100%.
“I didn’t have my best performance today,” said Anderson in a Kawasaki statement. “I qualified 14th overall, which is a bit slower than usual for me. I was more focused on the day ahead. Moto 1, I started around eighth and tried to battle with the guys around me, but ended up getting 10th. Moto 2, I had to pull off early because I wasn’t feeling 100%. I’m still having some issues with my health. I need to check on that and see how everything is, and we’ll go from there.”
At this time, neither Anderson nor the team has stated when he may return to racing.
The Pro Motocross Championship goes on break after next Saturday at Washougal.
