Injury Updates: Jason Anderson, Carson Mumford and Jett Reynolds

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson has resumed riding after suffering a non displaced fracture at C5-C6 in his neck in a crash at round 14 of Monster Energy Supercross in Nashville.

“This is my first day back riding and it feels really good,” he said. “Honestly, in the time off I’ve just been trying to hang out, heal up, hang out with my new baby girl. It’s been enjoyable, but I’ve been watching the races and I’m itching to get back out there and have some fun with the guys.”

In an Instagram post, the team said Anderson hopes to return to Pro Motocross in the “coming weeks.”

Jett Reynolds, a member of the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team, announced on Instagram that he will miss round 4 at High Point this weekend.

Reynolds was one of a bunch of riders caught up in an awful first turn pileup at Thunder Valley last Saturday.

“Last weekend 🤦‍♂️,” he wrote. “I’ll sit this weekend out & regroup for the next one RTFG, Not the best news & not the worst! Be ready for the send @ RED BUD, HUGE THANK YOUS TO @pcraceteam

Update:

The team announced today that Carson Mumford is also out this weekend following a crash at Thunder Valley.

“Once we had Jett and Carson checked out, we decided it was best to sit them both out for High Point and let them get a full three weeks of recovery time before they race again. We spent some time this week working on starts with Jo and Ryder. We holeshot both motos at High Point last year, so we’re looking for a big improvement from Lakewood for the guys. The weather seems good for Saturday, so fingers crossed.” – Iain Southwell, Team Manager.
