How You Can Help Former Loretta Lynn’s Champion Nic Hayes

In 2023, two-time Lorretta Lynn’s Champion, and friend of Vurbmoto, Nic Hayes, had a practice crash that would change the lives of the Hayes family forever. Hayes broke his neck and was unfortunately paralyzed from the neck down. Following the crash, he would spend around 100 days in the hospital. Since then, Nic has been working to recover any mobility he can at local rehab facilities near his home in Virginia.

This morning, it was announced that Nic has been given an opportunity to take part in an advanced neurological and spinal cord treatment at Verita Neuro in Thailand (via hayesstrong.com). This program offers a real path forward starting with a surgery to implant two epidural stimulators on his spine that could help him regain strength, mobility, and independence. According to Verita Neuro’s website, this program has shown proven results documented in testimonial videos.

This program will start with a 50-day stay where the first day the surgery to implant the two stimulators will take place followed by stem cell treatments, brain mapping, and then five hours of physical therapy each day for the duration of the stay.

An opportunity like this does not come often, but it does come with a hefty price tag. The Hayes family is hoping to raise $275,000 to help make this happen. If you have never met Nic, I can tell you personally that he is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet in the pits or anywhere for that matter. I believe that anyone who knows him will say the same. I encourage you to consider donating to Nic’s cause if you are able to so that he can continue to enjoy life with his family.
