Gavin Towers Out for Remainder of Pro Motocross

Phoenix Racing Honda’s Gavin Towers announced on Monday that he sustained a torn ACL and lateral meniscus is his knee the week prior to round 4 of the Pro Motocross Championship at High Point and will miss the remainder of the season.

“Not exactly the post I want to be making,” he wrote on Instagram. “Some people may or may not know I’ve been dealing with a steady knee issue for about a year and the Tuesday before high point I popped my knee. Went and got a mri and unfortunately fully tore my acl and lateral meniscus. With that being said I will start the recovery process asap. Thank you to the whole @phxracinghonda crew for sticking with me❤️ See you in 2026″

After racing his final season of amateurs with Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing, Towers inked a deal with the VRT Yamaha team in Europe to contest the EMX250 class for the remainder of the 2024 season. Towers had some bright spots in the championship and finished the series 14th overall.

Prior to the start of the 2025 season, the Pennsylvania native returned to the U.S. and signed a deal with Phoenix Racing Honda to race the SuperMotocross Championship with the team.

After finishing his rookie year of Monster Energy AMA Supercross 15th overall in the 250SX West Division, he contested the opening four rounds of Pro Motocross with a season-best 23rd coming at High Point.
