Phoenix Racing Honda’s Evan Ferry announced on social media Thursday that he suffered a torn ACL in a qualifying crash at Nashville Supercross last Saturday and is scheduled for surgery this week.
“To start with, the last few days have probably been some of the darkest, saddest, and roughest days I’ve ever had—just laying there, looking at the ceiling, wondering why,” he wrote. “Situations like this in our sport suck, especially after the rough go I’ve already had since turning pro. I finally felt like I was starting to become the rider everyone’s been seeing at the practice track and riding the way I know I can.
“With all of this being said, I’m not done yet. This is just a very small setback in the big picture of my racing career. If anything, this has given me even more motivation to become the person I know—both myself and the Lord Jesus Christ knows—I can be on and off the bike.
“To end, I’ll be going under the 🔪 to get my ACL repaired out here in California, and I’ll be right back on track to getting back out there.
I’ll be back soon.”
It has been a whirlwind few years since turning pro in 2024 for Ferry. Following a strange rookie season which started with Factory Triumph and ended with WildCat Racing, Ferry signed with Phoenix Racing Honda ahead of the 2025 season.
At the season opener at Anaheim 1 last year, Ferry went down in his heat race and suffered a torn Achilles.
After missing the remainder of 2025, Ferry returned to Phoenix Honda Racing for 2026 and made three 250SX East Division main events with a season-high 11th in Detroit.
