Last Updated: May 16, 2025
At Prospect, transparency and trust are at the core of everything we do. This Data Handling Policy outlines how we use race-related data in our app and what safeguards we put in place.
What We Collect
Prospect only collects and displays publicly available race data, including:
- Rider name
- Race class
- Finishing position
- Lap times
- Event results
- Publicly listed event and track details
This data is typically provided by tracks, promoters, or timing/scoring systems that publish it online for public consumption.
What We Don’t Collect
We never collect or store:
- Personal contact information (e.g. phone numbers, email addresses)
- Home or billing addresses
- Birthdates, payment info, or identification numbers
- Any non-public or private rider/registrant data
How We Use the Data
We use race data to:
- Display results and live timing in the Prospect app
- Update rider profiles with performance history
- Help users discover events, tracks, and rankings
- Improve visibility and engagement for tracks and promoters
All data use is limited strictly to these functions.
Your Control
Tracks and promoters may grant or revoke permission for us to display their results and/or live timing feeds at any time by contacting us at [email protected].
If we receive a request to remove or correct any race data, we will act promptly to address it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. All changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
