Jo Shimoda Named to Team Japan for Motocross of Nations

The FIM Motocross of Nations returns to U.S. soil in 2025, as Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, is set to host the prestigious event for the first time October 3-5.

On Tuesday, we got our first team announcement for the event, as Team Japan will be led by Honda HRC Progressive’s Jo Shimoda. The 2023 SuperMotocross World Championship 250SMX runner-up will contest the MXGP class alongside team members Soya Nakajima and Yuki Okura.

Below is the full roster for Team Japan:

MXGP: Jo Shimoda (Honda)
MX2: Soya Nakajima (Yamaha)
OPEN: Yuki Okura (Honda)

Race Director of All Japan Championship Motocross, Takateru Atsuta, will serve as the team manager.
