2020 Motocross of Nations Moving to Matterley Basin

As part of their 2020 schedule announcement today, Infront Moto Racing also announced that the 2020 FIM Motocross of Nations will no longer be held in Ernee, France, due to severe restrictions related to COVID-19, which forbid mass public gatherings in France. Ernee is now scheduled to host the 2023 Motocross of Nations.

With France no longer in the picture, Infront Moto Racing are now working with Steve Dixon to bring the event to Matterley Basin (Great Britain). The event, which is scheduled for September 27 will conform to the outdoor event guidance regulations.

“At the MXoN the participants will take points for the MXGP and MX2 World Championships, Infront Moto Racing and FIM are working on the regulations keeping in mind the format, the principle and the soul of the MXoN to be maintained.”

Matterley Basin, which held Round 1 of the 2020 MXGP season, last held the Motocross of Nations in 2017. Team France won the event over The Netherlands and Great Britain.
