So much for taking time off for Zach Osborne. Osborne, who grabbed his first career 450SX win at the final round of Monster Energy Supercross in Salt Lake City, is going to race Round 8 of the Grand National Cross Country (GNCC) Series in Maidsville, West Virginia, this Sunday in the XC1 Class.
This isn’t the first time Osborne has raced GNCC. He showed up at the first two rounds of the series in 2013 and carded two podium finishes in the XC2 Lites Class. Osborne was also chosen to represent the USA World Trophy Team at the 2013 and ’14 International Six Days Enduro (ISDE).
With Lucas Oil Pro Motocross postponed until at least August, Osborne is going to get some seat time in.
“I’m really excited for this opportunity to do some racing. It’s a strange time currently and with our uncertain schedule it’s nice to go try some other things and keep racing,” Osborne said in a team statement. “Hopefully I can go there, have some fun and whatever the result is—it is. Thanks to the team for accommodating me and I look forward to a great weekend.”
