Ryan Villopoto Is Returning to Kawasaki

Ryan Villopoto is returning to his roots. The four-time 450 AMA Supercross and five-time Pro Motocross Champion is returning to Kawasaki.

During his Hall of Fame professional career, RV rode for only one brand: Kawasaki. During his tenure, he captured 10 major professional championships and 83 total wins before retiring in 2015.

Post-retirement, he signed with Yamaha Blu Cru in 2018 to serve as a brand ambassador and raced various events.

Yamaha thanked RV in a social media post today:

Since joining the Yamaha family back in January 2018 as a brand ambassador, Ryan Villopoto has been a big part of the BLU CRU family. Yamaha would like to thank him for all his work and dedication, representing our brand and engaging with fans at our BLU CRU Invitationals and tons of media events, OAI and All Kid Bikes events.

Thanks for the countless memories RV!

Here is the official announcement via Kawasaki:

In February, Vurbmoto announced that Villopoto has joined the organization as an official partner for its premier amateur motocross event, which will now be known as the RV2 World Mini Grand Prix presented by GoPro and Michelin set for Mesquite MX April 23-26.
