The 10th edition of the AUSX Open in Australia took place on Friday and it was multi-time champion Jett Lawrence taking the victory on home soil.
Lawrence delivered a flawless performance, going 1-1 on the night. Dean Wilson, who currently leads the Australian Supercross Championship, finished second overall. In the process, he extended his points lead to 42.
Hunter Lawrence, who won the event last year, rebounded from a fifth in the first race to take second in race 2 and third overall.
In the SX2 division, Lux Turner, who entered the night with the points lead, had a heavy crash in qualifying and did not race. Cole Thompson took the win over Shane McElrath and Ryder Kingsford.
