We’ve picked a winner in the Canvas X Vurb Gear Design Contest for our test rider/influencer Ashton Bloxom! We narrowed the choices down to three and then we let our panel of judges that included Bird Dog, Chili Dog, and Slaw Dog vote, so it was a pretty intense judging period.
For a reminder, two months ago we put together this contest, and you should go back and read the story of how it all came together. It’s been a pretty cool journey this summer.
I honestly was impressed by how many different submissions that we received. You guys and girls out there who submitted the designs are quite talented and our final three sets were very difficult to choose a winner from, but of course we had to, so without further adieu here is our winner.
The Winning Gear Designed by Ridge Jense!
Jense felt inspired by Bloxom’s real job as a Journeyman electrician and he went to work creating this “Sparky” set. What really stood us about the set was the lightning strike through the number on the back.
Jense will win a signed Grant Harlan jersey and a pack of merch from shopvurb.com. The coolest part about Jense getting his prizes is that Bloxom and Harlan have been in contact with him. They went the extra mile to see if Jense would be at a round of Pro Motocross and they want to deliver the winnings in person. Budds Creek will be the meetup and Jense will be able to see the gear that he designed up close and in person, which is a cool deal!
We’d like to give a special thank you to Canvas for collaborating with us on this project. Their design lab on their website is very easy and fun to use. We appreciate them letting us use their platform for this contest and as you can see, the finished product looks amazing. Thank you Micheal Leib for all of the work in putting this contest together.
Bloxom will debut the gear at Unadilla and we have some more content coming down the pipeline for socials and features, so stay tuned for that.
