We have racing this weekend! The FIM World Supercross Championship kicks off this Saturday in Argentina and I’m here to deliver the best Power Rankings in the world.
Here is my top 10 entering the new season. Keep in mind, I have combined the SX1 and SX2 Classes into one overall ranking.
RELATED: FIM WORLD SUPERCROSS TEAM GUIDE
1: Haiden Deegan. First 450 race for the multi-time champ and it delivers a much-needed shot in the arm for the series which has had its share of setbacks. This is going to be must-watch TV this weekend.
2: Ken Roczen. We can’t seem to get a firm answer on if Kenny is racing the entire five-round championship, but it doesn’t seem like he is. If he does, I’d venture to say he’s the favorite for the title. If he doesn’t, then this next guy is.
3: Jason Anderson. JA make his return to Suzuki and his debut in WSX this weekend. As mentioned above, if Kenny doesn’t race the entire series, I like JA for the title.
4: Joey Savatgy. Don’t sleep on Jo Dog. He’s finished runner-up twice in this series (2022 and 2023) and took third in points a season ago. If Kenny or JA slips, Joey will be there to take advantage.
5: Shane McElrath. Shane is a two-time SX2 champion (2022 and 2024) in the series and is once again a favorite for a third title this year. He’ll face a stiff challenge from Max Anstie and more though.
6: Wildcards. In addition to Haiden Deegan, Justin Cooper: Rounds 1 (Buenos Aries City GP) and 2 (Canadian GP), Eli Tomac: Rounds 2 (Canadian GP) and 3 (Australian GP) and Cooper Webb: Round 3 (Australian GP) will also race the series this year. Much needed star power for the series.
7: Max Anstie. Max is healthy again (he missed all of Pro Motocross with a broken leg) and is the favorite for the SX2 crown alongside McElrath.
8: Stark. Stark will debut this year with the electric manufacture taking on the gas powered machines for the first time in WSX history. We’ve seen this in AMA Arenacross, but nothing to this level. Add in Vince Friese and yeah, this could be fireworks.
9: Coty Schock. After a breakout 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season could Schock take the SX2 title? It’s not crazy to think he can. This weekend will be pivotal. He’ll need to start fast as you don’t want to give veterans like McElrath and Anstie a big lead in the points.
10: Justin Hill. You never know with J Hill. He could win this weekend or get 10th and neither would surprise me.
