James Stewart IN for Miami Flugtag

July 6, 2010 None

It was officially top secret, and 'was' is the key word; James Stewart is in for the Red Bull Flugtag event in Miami for this coming Saturday, July 10th.  What's Flugtag?  More or less, a bunch of ingenious thinkers are selected to build human powered flying devices which are pushed from a high elevation, over water, in attempt to set a record distance.

James Stewart has enlisted the help of Randy Yoho to engineer his craft, and Pagio and Sorby to be his human rockets that will launch him off the platform.  Right now the record sits at 155 feet, and according to our sources they plan on crushing that record.  Wind is the only thing that needs to be on their side, otherwise it will be a straight plumit into the water 50 feet below.

We sent a really pretty girl disguised as a UPS driver to the Stewart compound, had her install a super secret hidden camera on the front of his contraption, and you can see the results in the video above.  It looks as if Stewart will be utilizing a parachute of sorts to help his endeavor.  How do you think he will fair?

On a totally seperate note, James will immediately fly to a testing session with Yamaha to get a few things dialed in before making his return to the outdoor national season.
