DMXS Post Show: Pingree, Hill, Beams, Adams, Hibbert

Words: Troy Bendgen

David Pingree:
The Lucas Oil/Troy Lee Designs/ Honda team has been on a roll this season.  Team manager David Pingree fills us in on what goes on under their tent.  He then tells us the latest on his newest rider Ben Townley.  Ping then chimed in on the Stewart/Reed deal from Phoenix, and then compared it to his aggressions as a rider.

Quotes:

“Let me tell you, he’s (Townley) flying, I can’t wait for Hangtown”

Josh Hill:
What a revelation Josh Hill turned out to be so far in Monster Energy Supercross.  Josh talks A2, his pass on Stewart, and how he gets along with his new team.  He also talks about little brother Justin and how he is doing on his switch to big bikes.  We hope Josh won’t run out of Boost Mobile Minutes next time.

Quotes:

“He (James) was just trying to ride good as long as he could”

“I haven’t weighed 150 pounds since ‘04”

Robb Beams:
What is DMXS Radio without a little bit of Robbert Beams?  Robb talks about some of his riders and updates us on their preparation for the 2010 season.  Beams and his crew also will also be on hand to help at the Ricky Carmichael University in Daytona coming up on March 8th.

Quotes:

“We haven’t seen half of what he(Cianciarulo) is capable of yet”

Nate Adams:
Nate Adams was probably the first ever guest on DMXS that did his interview on a Greyhound bus.  Live from Aspen, CO Nate lets us know how he feels about missing the Anaheim 1 night show by a tenth of a second.  Then dishes on Nuclear Cowboyz, and when he expects to make his return on the tour after being out with a dislocated thumb.

Quotes:

“I thought about flipping triples and finish lines”

“I’m actually at a urinal right now, is this the first time this has happened on DMXS Radio?”

Tucker Hibbert:
With Winter X Games starting it is definitely a must to get Tucker Hibbert on the Bombardier on the show.  One of the best Snocross rider’s the sport has seen, Tucker tells all how he feels going into the event.  Keep an eye out for Tucker at X Games, then at some rounds of outdoor motocross this summer.

Quotes:

“The one thing I miss about motocross is the sound and smell of a two stroke”
