Kurt Caselli Wins WORCS Round 9- Glen HelenCaselli

Off-road Muscle Milk KTM’s Kurt Caselli has come back to his home turf in Southern California after a year of the east coast GNCC series. Round 9 of WORCS held at Glen Helen Raceway in Devore, CA catered to some of the fastest racers of the off-road world this past weekend. Kurt Caselli who also landed a podium at his first round back to the WORCS series in Olympia, Washington, came for another round to show that he’s back on the west coast and ready to pick up where he left off with the series. Hot off the gate Caselli was on the move to give his team another win, thankfully he and teammates Brown and Soule, missed the controversial bottleneck and checked out to the finish. Rumored to be on a bone stock KTM 450, Caselli has made it very clear he is not only a talented off-road racer, but also one of the fastest racers on the planet.

Before Balbi's achievement Stefy Bau, currently the Youthstream WMX Manager, was the fisrt ever woman to try and race a Grand Prix. Bau's attempt dates back to 2005 when the Italian tried to race her home event in Castiglione del Lago. Honda mounted Bau was 20th in the Last Chance Qualifying Practice - the last chance to take part to the Grand Prix after the two Qualifying Heats - and was forced to sit out of the event which she had entered in the MX2 class."

Four Former Montreal Supermotocross Champions on October 3rd MX1 Program at Olympic Stadium

Montreal, October 17, 2009 – Fans attending the 32nd edition of Montreal Supermotocross presented by Coors Light and Parts Canada, will see four former champions compete in the MX1 class during this annual fall classic. Americans Ryan Clark, Jason Thomas and Nicholas Wey, along with Canadian Dusty Klatt have all confirmed that they will be on track at the Olympic stadium track on October 3. All four will go head-to-head with Canadian MX1 champion, Colton Faciotti, as well as with many other American and Canadian racers familiar to the Montreal crowd. The Quebec contingent will be headed by Tim Tremblay, the highest placing Quebecer during the summer outdoor Canadian championship, as well as other regulars of the Montreal final such as Marco Dubé, Simon Homans and Marc-Antoine Généreux. One of the top competitors of the provincial championship, Kaven Benoît will also participate. “More than 50 racers have already registered for the main event and the list keeps on growing. We are very proud of this slate of MX1 competitors we are offering to our spectators. This confirms that the Montreal Supermotocross final is, after 32 years, an extremely popular non-championship event for riders from across North America,” explained Pierre Corbeil, the event promoter. “Many of those currently registered have a legitimate shot at winning this event, especially since the course, designed by Jean-Sébastien Roy, is extremely tight and very demanding, which should narrow the gap. We will probably have one of the most hotly contested finals in our history” predicted the event spokesman. Of the four Montreal event champions, it is Florida veteran, Jason Thomas, who boasts the best record. On top of his 2005 win, he has graced the podium on four additional occasions including last year when he finished third behind Jean-Sébastien Roy and Michael Willard. Ryan Clark, a veteran from Arizona who finished in ninth place in 2008, was victorious at Olympic stadium the year before, while Nick Wey, a supercross specialist from Michigan earned his win here in 2004. Dusty Klatt of British Columbia and runner-up in the Canadian outdoor championships for the last two years, has limited experience on the Olympic stadium course. However, he claimed the win in 2006 in one of his rare appearances here.
British Columbia youngster Colton Faciotti, the Canadian outdoor champion for the last two years, could well be on his way to the top spot on the podium. He counts three appearances at the Montreal finals among his list of accomplishments, finishing 16th in 2006, 13th in 2007 and finally in 4th place last year.

Strijbos, Leok and Boissiere to KTM

SjribosGeoffMeyerGeorges Jobe has put together a very strong team fo the 2010 World MX1 Championship with Kevin Strijbos, Tanel Leok and Anthony Boissiere lining up in the BO KTM team. Jobe is excited about the prospects for 2010. "We have a good team of riders who all have potential," Jobe told MXlarge this morning. "Kevin wants to be World Champion and I know Tanel can do better, he is the third of the three musketeers (Townley, Rattray and Leok) and Tanel is the only one who doesn't have a title, but he has to potential to do that. Anthony as we saw when he won at a GP and also his performance at last years Motocross of Nations, he also has a good chance to do really well. All three riders will race MX1 and we have support from the KTM factory. We will have 2010 KTM bikes and as you saw this year with Nagl and Barragan those might just be the best bikes out there." For Jobe himself this is a huge step in his progress after his back injury from two years ago. "For me personally it is a big thing. I will never be 100% again, but to be able to give my knowledge to these riders and help them progress, that is something I can still do. My partner in the team is a good friend and his support has really helped make this possible. The team will be based at my place, and we are now busy putting the final touches to the team, putting the puzzle together."
