Open Season: Vurb Insider

After much deliberation and debate the powers that be here at Vurb have all agreed to move forward with Operation Open Season for Vurb Insider. Not only will Vurb Insider never become a “pay for” site, but you will no longer have to log in, either. Vurb Insider is now open to the masses. Why? Well, the reasons are many. We’ve always taken the open book approach with our readers and we don’t plan on holding back now. Our promise to devote every waking hour to producing unmatched media coverage of the greatest sport in the world relies on you, the reader, and our relationship with our readers is what we value most. So here’s the skinny.

After months of work to promote Vurb Insider there are a few realizations we’ve come to.

1) Readers would rather walk bare foot over hot coal than sign up and log into a website every time they want to catch up on the latest and greatest. Given the free flow of content provided over the internet signing up for one more thing isn’t in the users best interest.

2) Insider features take an unbelievable amount of time and resources. While the number of readers signed up for Insider are decent, they are nothing to write home about. Given this fact, we feel that too much work is going into these quality projects and not enough people are being allowed to enjoy.

3) Brian, David and Kevin of DMXS Radio have put the last eight years of their lives into producing the best internet radio show on earth. Their listeners are some of our most valued clients and our decision to open the flood gates to Insider and make it a FREE site to all will only help benefit their faithful followers. (Note that the relationship between DMXS Radio and Vurb will remain unchanged. Vurb Insider will continue to be the home of DMXS Radio and with the decision to remove the log in we hope to continue to grow their traffic tremendously moving forward.)

4) In order to produce, projects must be funded. It’s accounting in its simplest form. Given the amount of work going into Insider and seeing that we never felt comfortable making it a “pay for” site, we will now open up real-estate for advertisers. It is also important to note that the site will remain clean and will not become cluttered with advertisement. We have yet to determine the size and placements of advertisements that will be allowed on Insider, but know that we have the readers best interest in mind when planning ad implementation.

Now onto how you, the reader, will benefit by our decision. Not only will we now be able to produce more Insider style content, but you can now get it all for FREE. The overall premise of Vurb Insider will not change. We will continue to speak our minds, regardless of who our advertisers are, and we will continue to conjure up story and video ideas that are unrivaled in the online world.

Our mission is to please our readers, and by removing the log in and allowing the motocross world to view Vurb Insider we truly feel as if we are making strides in doing so.

So if you’ve waited this long and have still not visited Vurbinsider.com, grab a cold drink, pop some pop corn and check it out, you’ve got a lot of catching up to do.
