Contributor Spotlight: Gary Price

written by Brent Stallo

Gaz1For this edition of Contributor Spotlight we take a trip across the pond to England, home of the Queen, tea, fish and chips, crappy weather and Gary Price. Fortunately, or unfortunately rather, we’ve had the “luxury” of spending an unusual amount of time with our ever growing staff from the UK over the last few months. Both David Bulmer and Gary Price spent the majority of their summer traveling the main 48 with us and we learned quite a bit about our friends from the other side along the way.

Seeing as this Contributor Spotlight is focused on Gary Price, aka “GAZ”, we’ll be giving Bulmer a hall pass back to class on this one.

Born and raised in Reddtich, England we first met Gaz at the MXoN in 2007 at Budds Creek. It wasn’t long after that Gaz flew back to the states and spent a vast amount of time helping out the cause while living out of California.

Gaz has been in the game going on five years and he has the DVD collection to prove it. He produced TNG 1, 2 and 3, Co-Filmed W.F.O, Co-Filmed the 2009 Loretta Lynn’s DVD and had a large part in Vurb’s newest release, EPIC. The dude isn’t scared to go after a dolln504091469_811126_4108ar and is one of the savviest businessmen in the sport. Heck, we have a feeling if we gave him half the chance he’d take his own mom buck, err, euro. He’s worked with some of the biggest accounts in the biz and continues to impress with his unique approach to film.

When not filming we’re not really sure what Gaz does, but to be honest we’re not sure we’d be able to decipher it through his ridiculously thick accent if he told us. He jumps from continent to continent more than most go to the grocery store and, according to him, has filmed a total of 341 hours in the last 12 months. One thing is for sure, with the extent of his travel you can definitely expect to see some world content heading Vurb’s way in the near future. We’re also trying to strike a deal with Mr. Price at the moment to cover the GP Series in 2010 and if all goes according to plan you can look forward to seeing a ton of content between he and Mr. Bulmer next season.

Here’s to Gary and here’s to his devotion to the sport of motocross. If we have it our way he will be a part of Vurb for years to come.
