VURB: You recently got hurt and sat out Mini O's. Bring us up to speed on what happened?

WILSON: Yea, I got hurt about 5 weeks ago at Milestone. I was just out practicing and you know, it was the end of the day, last ride and I was just doing sprints and I came off a jump and endod or something? I got a concussion so I don't exactly remember. I went to the hospital and I ended up fracturing my femur.

VURB: Thinking back to Loretta's this year, you beat the toughest current A class competitor, Justin Barcia in the last moto. Do you think you would have had anything for him at Mini O's?

WILSON: Yea, that was the moto I had a good start at and I ended up winning it...I was feeling really good going into Florida and was working hard. I know Justin is one of the fastest and I think I would have surprised some people there. I think I would have had something for him. He's a good rider but I know he has a huge target on his back going into Texas from all the riders I have talked to.

VURB: Rumor has it he might not be there...If so do you think that makes you the guy to beat?

WILSON: I haven't heard that rumor but there's a lot of fast dudes going in to Texas expecting to win...I think I've got a lot to prove and I'm going into Texas as prepared as I can be to kill it.

Deanwilson_1919VURB: That's the right mentality to have for sure. So what's the status on your leg, you were in a cast for awhile...Is that off and are you back riding yet?

WILSON: Yeah I was in a cast for a month and I got it off a week ago. Right now, I'm just doing physical therapy and trying to get it back into shape...not riding yet. I would have liked to start this coming week, but doctors said January.

VURB: One thing is certain, Xtreme Team Green is a strong support system to have behind you, you have three solid months to get ready and we know you'll come prepared at Whitney. Good Luck and we'll be seeing you before Texas.

WILSON: For sure, I'll definitely be ready for Whitney. I would just like to thank my sponsors for sticking behind me and my cousin that came from Scotland to train me...my parents and my boys TB and BS and WW.
